Nikki Gribble has been a professional nanny since July of 2006, after graduating from English Nanny and Governess School. She loves working with children and has found a niche specializing with multiples. She enjoys being with friends and family and trying new things.
Nikki decided to become a nanny during her senior year in high school. One day while searching the internet, she came across a few job postings for nanny positions and then wondered if there was a school to become a nanny. Upon searching, she found English Nanny and Governess School and realized that becoming a nanny could be a very good and rewarding career choice. After visiting the school, she decided that she would enroll and pursue a career as a nanny.
While moving into the dorms at English Nanny and Governess School, the students were informed that one of the practicum families had a 4-year-old, a 2-year-old, and 2-month-old triplets and asked if anyone would like to volunteer. Nikki immediately volunteered. Part way through classes, she was offered a job with the family. This was a first for the school, to have a nanny hired by the practicum family. She gladly accepted and moved to Washington D.C. with the family. After working for the family for three years, she knew she wanted to continue working with multiples. She then moved to Colorado Springs to work for a family that had a 5-year-old and 5-month-old triplets. She has also worked with a family that had two singletons, back in Washington D.C. before accepting her current position with newborn twins.
Nikki stays busy when she is not working. She is a co-leader of a singles group at her church and volunteers to make dinner or desserts for special occasions. Her hobbies and interests include entertaining, playing games, baking and cooking, puzzles, dabbling with photography, and traveling. This year, she plans to try several new things including flight lessons, silver work, and snowboarding.
Nikki Gribble is a fun, loving, and caring nanny who loves what she does. She likes to keep busy, try new things, and gladly accepts challenging situations.
Praise for Nikki
Our relationship with Nikki Gribble began when she arrived at our house to begin her practical training in The English Nanny and Governess School. She worked with our 5 children for over 3 years while she lived with us as a nanny and member of our family. She continues to be a part of our extended family now, almost three years since she moved on to a family who needed her expertise with very young multiples.
Nikki has been a stable, reliable force in the lives of our children. Our children have always known her love and her consistent and fair discipline. Nikki is a very enthusiastic and professional nanny who shares her knowledge with others. She goes far above the call of duty to create a wonderful childhood for her wards, filled with creativity, activity and fun.

Marcia has extensive experience working with families who have children aged newborn through teen. “her confidence and knowledge have placed her permanently on our ‘go to’ list of those we call when we’re trying to problem solve health issues, behavior, schedules or nutrition with our kids.” –Jenny, Wauwatosa, WI
Marcia launched Strong Roots Family Coaching because she believes that all children are born with great potential. She’s passionate about empowering parents to find the best ways to support, encourage and nurture their children as they build a deeper connection.
Marcia and her husband, Scott, reside in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with their 2-year-old daughter Nadia, whom they adopted days after birth. They are in the process of adopting their second child. Marcia is currently a full-time nanny in Mequon, Wisconsin for a 5-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy. She is fortunate to be able to bring her 3-year-old daughter with her.
She also works with families of any age and size as a Family Coach. Marcia teaches families in her community and around the country through workshops, one on one coaching and through her writing. She writes weekly for a blog called Your Parenting Questions as well as many other websites and blogs. Her first book, “parenting Responsively,” co-written with 11 other ACPI Parent Coaches came out the summer of 2011.
Praise for Marcia
Marcia’s most important contribution to the nanny industry is her nurturing care and educational insight she provides to families. We are confident in Marcia’s skills and we have recommended her to other families who have also benefited from her exemplary care and professionalism. Her in-home care provided us complete sense of security and has shown us the benefit of in-home care in complementing children’s emotional and behavioral growth. Marcia really helped make the transition for our older daughter to adapt well to having a new sister in the house. She suggested a schedule to allow alone time for mother and daughter and though of interesting field trip ideas. This provided us with new activities and experiences with our older child, while she lovingly took care of our newborn.
She also rose to the challenge to find activities to foster our older daughter’s development while still focusing on the baby’s needs. She adapted well and found many interests to keep them both stimulated. We believe Marcia was responsible for fostering our children’s love of reading. She would constantly read board picture books to both girls. Together they would act out animal sounds and, by making learning fun, Marcia encouraged both their vocabulary and love of reading.
Marcia’s skills and professionalism came to light when our older daughter was 27 months and was going through a defiant stage. This started when our younger daughter was starting to walk and talk. She noticed that she needed some more structure to her day and her actions should have consequences and rewards. Marcia, on her own time, spent many hours developing a behavioral reward chart for Ella. After a week of using the chart, Ella had returned to her normal happy self. Not only were we so amazed by her initiative, we are also grateful for Marcia’s insight and assistance in this endeavor.

ALUMNA MELISSA AND HER CHARGE ALESSANDRA!
Well Alessandra was 6 months old June 4th. She started sitting up last Tuesday! She has started eating solids and is a very happy girl! I couldn't have gotten a better job/family. The first picture I have is with Annina (13) and Johanna (10yrs). They are both very sweet. The others are pictures that I took just 2 days ago for Alessandra's 6 month picture (they asked me if I could take some pictures for her 6m because they knew I loved taking pictures) I hope you enjoyed them! Melissa (NC)
Brianne has cared for our children for almost a year now. We have enjoyed every minute of her being with us and as part of our family. Brianne is a trustworthy, caring, loving governess who takes initiative and is incredibly flexible. All the children have developed a special relationship with her which is commendable considering there are boys (13 and 11) and girls (8 and 4). The boys seek out her advice and fill her in on their days and the girls relish in playing creative games and chatting to her ALL day long. She has found ways to connect with each one and understands their strengths and where she may need to push them along. She is patient with them all and is readily available for hugs and cuddles, especially with the girls. She has also spent a great deal of time working with Meghan on letters, numbers and writing and is finding fun ways to educate her. We could not be happier to have such a loving person with our family and caring for the children.
